I voted for Donizetti, Handel, and Verdi. However, the one opera I have that most reminds me of Wagner is Strauss' Die Frau ohne Schatten.

This is a curious one for me, since there is no other composer whose operas I love on the whole. I have to choose individual operas: Der Freischutz, Fidelio, Norma, Otello, Bluebeard's Castle. My second favorite opera composer may turn put to be Bartok, who wrote only one opera and isn't even a favorite composer in general. It's odd, but I guess it saves me the trouble of belonging to forums called Talk Weber, Talk Bellini. etc.
